I joined Moss Bros in September 2015, as Social Media Manager because I was excited by their plans and focus on social media. I wanted to move into a larger business as I was previously in a smaller team and being part of a structured organisation really attracted me.
Although Moss Bros, is quite large it doesn’t have that really corporate feel to it, the culture is much more collaborative. It is very laterally structured; you can find yourself in a meeting with senior people and they are very approachable, everyone here is approachable.
My role didn’t exist a few years ago and I love the fact that it is always changing and moving forward. Social Media is often the first impression of a brand, it is like the online shop window and my role is to ensure that our window looks the best at all times, gives our customers a great impression of Moss Bros and shows us off in the best possible light.
Although I am not from a tailoring background, part of my journey has been learning about the tailoring expertise that runs through the company. I’m proud to be a passionate expert now! It’s exciting that my role has much bigger scope here. I love the fact that I have the freedom to put my personality into what the company does. It really is fantastic that the messages we are putting out now, which are based much more around the core values of the company and our considerable expertise, are driving people to our website.
I am really proud of the fact that the web traffic to our social media channels particularly on Facebook and Twitter has increased 150% over the last year, which is amazing. I feel like I am making a difference! Looking at the way social media has exploded, I would absolutely like to see myself in a Director’s role in a few years time. Whilst we don’t have this role presently here at Moss Bros, watch this space!
